Duties and Responsibilities
- Development of FTTx fiber optic projects, including fiber splicing, testing according to relevant standards, and timely problem resolution, meeting set requirements and service levels.
- Network maintenance, identifying damage and mobilizing all resources to minimize incident resolution time.
- Reporting and proposing final solutions for encountered problems.
- Conducting inspections and control of infrastructure and the network at set intervals. Control of network elements such as joints, panels, boxes, and other FTTx network components.
- Ensuring all network components are documented and labeled according to company standards.
- Caring for the reporting and submission of documentation after work completion.
- Maintenance and updating of project documentation.
- Direct reporting to the Line Manager.
- Strict implementation of technical safety regulations.
- Periodic inspection of personal safety equipment and reporting any case of damage, absence, or need for renewal.
Main Criteria
- Experience in fiber optic splicing in FTTx, GPON projects, etc.
- Any additional training in this field is an advantage.
- Experience in using measuring and splicing equipment such as: OTDR, Mass Fusion Splicer, Power Meter, etc.
- Very good skills in fiber optic works, preparation of joints, panels, and fiber splicing in boxes for the GPON network.
- Excellent skills in optical network measurements and identifying technical issues.
- Ability to work in a group and organize work effectively.
- Must be disciplined, motivated, and organized.
- Technical secondary or higher education preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
